- דְּעַךְch. sam(דעךְto crush, stamp upon), esp. to extinguish, quench. Targ. Prov. 16:14 נִדְעֲכִנֵיה ed. Lag. (some ed. נדעינ׳, corr. acc.).דְּעֵיךְ to be quenched. Targ. Is. 43:17 דָּעִיכוּ (ed. Lag. דעו׳). Targ. Prov. 10:7; 13:9, a. e. נִדְעַךְ shall be quenched. Af. אדְעֵיךְ to quench. Ib. 15:18.
